Identifying features
Check out some identifying features of the Sunda Slow Loris!

You can easily identify the Sunda Slow Loris by its huge, forward-facing eyes, which are perfectly adapted to give it excellent night vision. Its completely round head features a distinct dark brown stripe that runs all the way down its back. If you manage to get a close look, you will also notice that it appears to have no tail at all, and its tiny ears are hidden entirely beneath its thick fur!
Habitat and ecology
They move hand-over-hand through the branches, supported by a specialized network of blood vessels in their wrists and ankles that allows them to grip tightly for hours without their muscles cramping. They forage under the cover of darkness for tree sap, floral nectar, and insects.
Did you know?
The Sunda Slow Loris is one of the only venomous primates in the world! They secrete a specialized toxin from a gland on their inner arm. When threatened, they lick this gland, mixing the toxin with their saliva to deliver a painful, venomous bite.
