Producer
Pinwheel Flowers are evergreen shrubs with white flowers. Their flower petals are twisted like pinwheels, giving it its name! As it is a nectar-producing plant, its nectar attracts insects such as the Asian Honey Bee and Lime Butterfly.
Consumer
Asian Honey Bees are often seen foraging on flowers during the day. They collect pollen to feed their larvae, while the adult bees drink nectar.
Lime Butterflies are commonly found in urban areas as their caterpillars will feed on citrus plants, which are grown by many home gardeners. Like all butterflies, the adult lime butterfly will drink necatr from flowers using its long proboscis.
Collared Kingfishers prey on a variety of animals other than fish, including insects, frogs, and even small lizards. They use their powerful beaks to grip prey, and may even smash them on a branch before swallowing them whole.
Common Scarlet dragonflies are regularly found along urban water bodies, with the adults hunting for a variety of insects in the air, on the surface of the water, or amongst vegetation. All dragonfly nymphs are also carnivorous and fully aquatic, and will hunt tadpoles, small fish, and aquatic invertebrates in water bodies.
Common Snakeheads are hardy fish that are voracious carnivores, consuming any animal smaller than their mouths.
Apex predator
Peregrine Falcons are the fastest bird in the world, and will hurtle from the skies to catch a wide variety of prey, mostly smaller birds and mammals. Like all raptors, they use their sharp beaks and claws to tear flesh from their prey to swallow.
