Greenhouse Frogs are quite small, usually only about the size of your thumb. Their colour can be brown or reddish, sometimes with light stripes or mottled spots along their back. One of their special features is their rounded snout and smooth skin, which helps them blend in with leaf litter and soil.

Habitat and ecology
These frogs love warm, moist places and are most often found hiding under leaves, logs, or plant pots. They are mostly active at night and feed on small insects and other tiny creatures. Because they can adapt to different environments, they sometimes show up in new regions and can even become invasive outside their natural range.
Did you know?
Unlike many frogs, Greenhouse Frogs lay their eggs on land in damp spots, and the tiny froglets hatch fully formed, skipping the tadpole stage!
