Habitat and ecology
These bright green snakes are often found draped across vegetation along forest edges, parks and gardens. They do not lay eggs like many other reptiles, instead they give birth to 4-10 live young. Being diurnal snakes and mainly active in the day, their horizontal pupils are thought to favour a more ambush style of hunting.
