What is a BioBlitz
A BioBlitz is a citizen science event where expert naturalists and volunteers collaborate to identify as many species of plants and animals as possible within a designated area and time frame.
It can be organised based on factors such as the number of participants, the size of the area covered, and the inclusion of additional activities such as nature education or conservation initiatives.
A BioBlitz welcomes participants of all experience levels. While traditional BioBlitz events typically last 24 hours, shorter BioBlitz events can also be organised to suit different needs.
How is a BioBlitz Conducted?
1. Learn the survey protocol and etiquette.
2. Prepare necessary survey equipment, e.g. camera, binoculars.
3. Conduct the survey at the survey site(s) and record your findings.
4. Consolidate and submit your data.
5. Share the results with all participants!

Why Conduct a BioBlitz
Anyone can join a BioBlitz, which allows people to easily connect with nature and the local nature community through it.
As such, a BioBlitz is a great way for raising awareness about biodiversity and providing a hands-on learning experience in biodiversity conservation efforts.
