Identifying features
Check out some identifying features of the Trumpet Tree!

The Trumpet Tree features large, showy, trumpet-shaped flowers that burst into vibrant shades of pink or white during its spectacular mass blooming seasons. When examining the foliage, look closely at its "palmately compound" leaves, where five distinct leaflets spread out beautifully from a single central point, much like fingers opening from the palm of a hand.
Habitat and ecology
They thrive in full sun and urban environments. When they bloom, they produce nectar that attracts local nectivorous birds and insects such as the Broad-handed Carpenter Bee and the Ornate Sunbird.
Did you know?
While locally nicknamed "Singapore's Sakura," it is not related to cherry trees! The Trumpet Tree requires a specific environmental trigger to bloom: Flowering is triggered by a heavy rain shower that follows a prolonged, hot dry spell.
