Toad vs Frog
Toads and frogs are both amphibians in the order Anura. True toads are frogs in the family Bufonidae, which means that all toads are frogs but not all frogs are toads!
Most toads have a Paratoid glands which are poison glands at the sides of their heads. They secrete Bufotoxins which is a chemical that may cause irritation to your eyes if they come into contact. Most frogs are not poisonous.
Toads also have dry and bumpy skin, while frogs have smooth and moist skin. However, there are exceptions to this, such as the Crab-eating Frog that has warty and irregular ridges along its back.
